* WAGNER'S RING in SEATTLE *
Ring Cycle III, August 25 - 31, 2009

In 2009, Seattle Opera presents its production of the RING in the company's state-of-the-art home, Marion Oliver McCaw Hall. The hall opened in 2003 to great acclaim from national and international music critics: "a new space for music theater that is likely to serve as inspiration and a standard in the industry." (Janos Gereben, San Francisco Classical Voice, August 2, 2003)

Our itinerary features this acclaimed production of Wagner's masterpiece, and Seattle Opera’s signature work, DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN. This award-winning production, inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, was unveiled in 2001 to wide acclaim, and revived for sold-out audiences in 2005. Your opportunity to see Seattle Opera’s magnificent Ring of the Nibelungen in 2009 awaits. The series of four operas - Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried and Götterdämmerung - will be presented in the 2001 production conceived by Seattle Opera General Director Speight Jenkins and the RING team: Stage Director, Stephen Wadsworth; Scenery Designer, Thomas Lynch; Costume Designer, Martin Pakledinaz; Lighting Designer, Peter Kaczorowski; Fire Designer and Flight Technical Director, Charles T. Buck. The production is in German with English Captions.

Cycle seats to Seattle Opera’s 2009 Ring will undoubtedly sell out again as they did in 2005. Hence, we invite you to join us for this very special staging of Wagner's RING and urge you to send your deposits in now as we expect this to be a very popular tour!
