* VOYAGE into the CLASSICAL WORLD *

Exploring the ancient sites of the Greek Islands and Turkey

Special Feature:
Chamber Music Concerts by Musicians from the Celebrated
Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

Aboard the all-suite, 57-cabin CORINTHIAN II

June 17 - 27, 2010

We invite you to explore the classical treasures and timeless beauty of the Aegean Sea. On our custom-designed voyage from Athens, we will explore myriad facets of ancient Greek society and consider how elements of this culture formed the crucible of our Western civilization. Marvel at amazingly preserved ruins and characteristic white architecture set against a backdrop of sun-kissed, bright blue skies.

Sailing from Athens, we journey to fabled Troy, where ongoing archaeological work has revealed the remains of a series of towns spanning the centuries. Our journey continues in Istanbul and to Ephesus to explore the remains of the powerful ancient city before visiting several iconic Greek islands. Marvel over the stunning Byzantine frescoes and mosaics at Nea Moni monastery on the island of Chios. On Rhodes we visit the acropolis in Lindos and explore the medieval heritage of the Old Town of Rhodes. On Crete, Zeus’s birthplace, we tour Knossos, home to the Labyrinth of the Minotaur. And on Santorini, we revel in the beauty of its whitewashed villages which stand in stark contrast to the island’s volcanic landscape.

Throughout this custom-crafted voyage, our guest musicians from The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center—cellist David Finckel, pianist Wu Han, and violinists Philip Setzer and Arnaud Sussmann—will delight us with shipboard concerts as well as exclusive performances ashore at such memorable venues as the ancient Odeon outside the walls of Troy.

With 57 staterooms accommodating only 114 guests, Corinthian II is the ideal ship for this remarkable voyage—an exceptional opportunity to immerse yourself in ancient sites and classical music.

We hope you can join us in June in the Greek Islands and Turkey.
